The Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera Body is the ultimate hybrid camera - a compact follow-up to the flagship Z9 and the true successor to the D850. It packs the Z9's 45.7-megapixel stacked full-frame CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 engine into a body 30% smaller than the Z9 and 15% smaller than the D850, delivering professional performance with lightweight, modular handling.
For photography, the Z8 is a dream: 45.7MP stills with stunning detail and dynamic range, blazing burst speeds of 20 fps in RAW and JPEG, 30 fps JPEG Fine, 60 fps in DX crop mode and up to 120 fps - with a seemingly bottomless buffer for birds, sports, weddings and once-in-a-lifetime moments. The all-electronic shutter has no moving parts, so it fires silently with no vibration, no wear and virtually no rolling shutter distortion. Pre-Release Capture records the moments before and after you press the shutter, recovering shots that would otherwise be missed.
Autofocus is built from deep-learning technology: advanced subject detection finds and tracks people, dogs, cats, birds, cars, bikes, motorcycles, trains and planes with 3D tracking, through a blackout-free electronic viewfinder that shows exactly what your shot will look like.
For video, the Z8 is a powerhouse: internal 8K/60p and 4K/120p recording, 12-bit RAW video options, pro audio inputs, and a full suite of production tools including a red REC border, focus peaking, zebra stripes, waveform monitor, timecode syncing and slow shutter speeds. Export 33MP still frames directly from 8K footage.
Dual card slots, robust weather sealing and smart connectivity round out a camera that flows with you as both a stills and filmmaking tool.
