Description
The Nikon Z5 II Mirrorless Camera Body rewards your talent with better results across the board: better low-light performance, better autofocus, better clarity through the viewfinder, better speed and flexibility. Its 24.5-megapixel full-frame BSI CMOS sensor, paired with Nikon's powerful EXPEED 7 processing engine, captures richly detailed stills and 4K/60p video with natural skin tones and beautifully blurred backgrounds.
Low light is where the Z5 II truly shines. Autofocus detects subjects in conditions darker than any other camera in its class - down to -10 EV - so concerts, cityscapes and night skies are all fair game. EXPEED 7's sophisticated noise processing keeps high-ISO images remarkably clean, 5-axis in-body image stabilisation gives up to 7.5 stops of correction for slower handheld shutter speeds, and Starlight View makes it easier to focus on stars.
Speed and intelligence come from Nikon's pro cameras: deep-learning subject detection recognises people, pets, birds and vehicles with a dedicated Bird AF mode, while 3D-tracking keeps moving subjects locked in focus. Fire bursts at up to 30 frames per second with the silent electronic shutter, and Pre-Release Capture buffers shots from before you fully press the shutter so you never miss the decisive moment.
For portraits and street photography, eye-detection AF keeps eyes tack sharp, Skin Softening blends imperfections, and Custom Picture Controls plus downloadable Image Recipes from Nikon Imaging Cloud let you define a signature look in-camera. Video creators get N-Log recording, cinematic LUTs developed with RED, High-Res Zoom that works even with prime lenses, and in-camera Full HD slow motion.
The lightweight magnesium-alloy body is sealed against dust and moisture for reliable shooting in any conditions, with a fully articulating LCD for creative angles. Connect to Nikon Imaging Cloud for photo backups and firmware updates, and share wirelessly with the SnapBridge app.
