Description
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is the versatile workhorse of the NIKKOR Z lineup — a compact standard zoom covering the prized 24–70mm range from wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives. With a constant f/4 maximum aperture designed to be shot wide open, it delivers remarkable edge-to-edge sharpness and distortion control for photos and video alike: interviews, product demos, interiors, landscapes and portraits.
The 14-element, 11-group optical design combines one ED element, one aspherical ED element and three aspherical elements with Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings for high contrast and faithful colour, even in bright backlit conditions. A quiet stepping motor (STM) drives smooth, precise autofocus with full-time manual override, and a programmable control ring can be set to aperture, ISO or exposure compensation. A button-less retractable barrel keeps the lens compact — just 77.5 x 88.5 mm and 500 g — when not in use. It focuses down to 0.3 m with 0.3x maximum magnification, takes 72mm filters, and carries a fluorine coating plus dust- and moisture-resistant sealing.
