The Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ II is the streamlined successor to the original FTZ, designed to adapt F-mount lenses to Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras. It features a design with minimal projections, making it easier to use with the vertical grip of the Z 9, comfortable to shoot with in any direction, and compatible with a wider variety of tripod plates - it also accommodates the MB-N11 battery grip and WT-7A wireless transmitter.
There is no glass inside the adapter, so nothing comes between your lens and the image sensor: F-mount lenses retain all of their image quality, resolution, clarity and sharpness with no loss of brightness, contrast or speed. Similar to its predecessor, the FTZ II seamlessly adapts F-mount lenses to the larger Z mount, retaining autofocus performance, weather sealing and comfortable handling of approximately 360 NIKKOR F lenses from AI type onwards.
Full autofocus and auto-exposure are supported when using FX or DX AF-S Type G/D/E, AF-P Type G/E, AF-I Type D lenses and AF-S/AF-I teleconverters. On Z cameras with in-body VR, adapted lenses gain up to 3-axis stabilisation (pitch, yaw and roll); F-mount NIKKOR lenses that already have VR add the roll axis.
