Description
The Nikon D850 is a full-frame (FX-format) DSLR camera built for working photographers, combining 45.7 megapixels of resolution with speed and serious video capability. Its back-side illuminated CMOS sensor - Nikon's first BSI sensor in a DSLR - captures extraordinary detail, enhanced light-gathering efficiency and truer colour, and is made without an optical low-pass filter so every line of detail reaches the imaging plane.
Powered by the EXPEED 5 image processor, the D850 shoots at up to 7 frames per second at full resolution, or up to 9 fps with the optional MB-D18 battery pack and EN-EL18a/b battery. The Multi-CAM 20K autofocus system uses 153 focus points for decisive subject tracking, while the 180K-pixel RGB metering sensor and a native ISO range of 64-25,600 (expandable to ISO 102,400) deliver low-noise images in difficult light. A 3.2-inch tilting touch-sensitive LCD, focus-shift stacking, silent photography in live-view mode and 8K time-lapse expand its creative reach.
For video creators, the D850 records 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) at 30/25/24p in full frame. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth via SnapBridge keep it connected, and the rugged magnesium-alloy, weather-sealed body stands up to professional use. This listing is for the camera body only.
